What is Internal Speed

 INTERNET

Internet the world's largest Computer Network. The Internet is a "network of networks." It is an inter-connection between several computers of different types belonging to various networks all over the world. So Internet is a group of two or more networks that are:-

  • Interconnected physically.
  • Capable of sharing & communicating data with each other.
  • Able to act together as a single network.

Internet is a worldwide support                group for any problem.

In 1969, The Department of Defense (DOD) of United States of America started a network called ARP net (Advanced Research Projects Administration Network) it began with one computer in california & three in Utah. Later, to share the hardware & software resources & then military allowed universities to join the network, from where the students caught up with it & developed much of the software, giving birth to Internet.

Internet test speed

To test your internet speed, you can use an online speed testing tool. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device.

2. Go to a website that offers internet speed testing, such as Speedtest.net or Fast.com.

3. Click on the "Go" or "Start" button on the website to begin the speed test.

4. Wait for the speed test to complete, which may take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on the website and your internet connection speed.

5. Once the test is complete, you will see the results displayed on the screen, which may include information such as download speed, upload speed, and ping time.

It's important to note that internet speed can vary depending on a number of factors, including your location, internet service provider, and network congestion. Therefore, it's a good idea to run the test multiple times at different times of day to get a more accurate picture of your internet speed.

Internet archive

The Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library that aims to provide free access to digital content, including websites, books, movies, music, and more. It was founded in 1996 by Brewster Kahle, and it has since become one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of digital content in the world.

One of the Internet Archive's most well-known features is the Wayback Machine, which is a digital archive of websites that allows users to see how websites looked and functioned in the past. The Wayback Machine has archived over 450 billion web pages since it was launched in 2001, making it an invaluable tool for researchers, journalists, and anyone interested in exploring the history of the internet.

In addition to the Wayback Machine, the Internet Archive also offers a vast collection of e-books, movies, music, and other media that can be downloaded or streamed for free. The collection includes everything from classic literature and silent films to live music recordings and software programs.

The Internet Archive is a valuable resource for anyone interested in digital preservation and access to information. It is funded by donations and grants, and it relies on the support of volunteers to help with its mission of building a free and open digital library for everyone.

The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the interconnected network of physical objects, devices, vehicles, buildings, and other items that are embedded with sensors, software, and connectivity, allowing them to collect and exchange data with each other and with humans.

The concept of IoT revolves around the idea of enabling these "things" to communicate with each other and with people, to automate tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall quality of life. IoT devices can range from simple sensors that monitor temperature or humidity to complex systems that manage entire cities, such as traffic lights and water management systems.

IoT technology is used in various fields, such as healthcare, agriculture, transportation, manufacturing, and smart homes. For example, in healthcare, IoT devices can monitor patients' vital signs, track medication usage, and remind patients to take their medications. In agriculture, IoT sensors can monitor soil moisture and temperature to optimize crop growth and reduce water usage.

As the number of IoT devices continues to grow, there are concerns about security and privacy. It is important to ensure that IoT devices are properly secured, and that the data they collect is protected from unauthorized access and use.

Internet outage

If you're experiencing an internet outage, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

Check your internet connection: Make sure that your modem, router, and all cables are properly connected and functioning. Sometimes, simply unplugging and then plugging back in your modem and/or router can fix the issue.

Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP): If the issue persists after checking your connection, contact your ISP to see if there is a known outage in your area or if there is an issue with your account.

Check social media or online forums: Check if others in your area are also experiencing internet outages by looking at social media or online forums.

Use a mobile hotspot: If you have a mobile phone with data, you can use it as a hotspot to connect to the internet until the outage is resolved.

Wait it out: If all else fails, sometimes the only thing you can do is wait for the outage to be resolved. In some cases, outages can be caused by weather events, repairs or maintenance, and other factors beyond your control.
